PLYMOUTH – Plymouth’s Lady Pilgrims had an unusual double header Saturday as they faced Michigan City and Bremen.

Michigan city came out on a roll as they scored 4 runs in the first inning. After that the game became a shoot out with both teams trading 1 run innings. Overall the Plymouth put the ball in play but Michigan City made tough plays to keep the momentum and the lead. The final score ended up being 7-3.

In the second game of the day Plymouth took on Bremen in a rescheduled game from Tuesday. Bremen took charge with strong hitting as a team. Arndt and Huppert teamed up for a solid pitching performance earning 13 strikeouts. At the end of the day Bremen had 13 hits on their way to a 7-0 victory.

Plymouth continues it’s home stretch on Monday and Wednesday. NLC starts Monday with Elkhart Memorial.

In JV action, Plymouth stole the show winning against both opponents Saturday. The first game was a shoot out with Michigan City. With a 2-1 score, Plymouth earned the win. The second game of the day had a completely different outcome. Plymouth dominated with the bats, winning 19-3 against Bremen. The two victories for the day capped off a great week where the JV earned 4 wins. They hope to keep it rolling as they have several games next week.
