03/11/14 On Friday, March 7th at 1:33 P.M. Plymouth Police Officer Derek Workman located and arrested 21 year old Codi A. Cannan of Plymouth for attempting to enter a residence at 101 1/2 North Michigan Street in Plymouth. During the investigation it was discovered that Mr. Cannan had entered the same residence on Sunday, March 2nd and stole several items. Canaan was transported and lodged at the Marshall County Jail where he was held on Burglary, Residential Entry and Theft Charges and booked on a $10,005 bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
