01/17/13 On Monday, January 13th at 6:10 p.m. Plymouth Police Officer Shanna Gilmer responded to Wal-Mart in reference to a female shoplifter. Upon arriving at Wal-Mart Officer Gilmer arrested 53 year old Jeanne L. Walker of Plymouth. Walker was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in on charges of Theft, Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance. Her bond was set at $1,505 cash. Walker was released later that evening after posting bond and received a Marshall Superior Court I date of February 18th.
On Wednesday, January 15th at 3:06 p.m. Officer Joe Deisch located 45 year old Nichelle M. Tauters of Winamac at 112 West Jefferson Street and arrested her on an active warrant through Marshall County for a Probation Violation. Tauters was transported to the County Jail where she was held without bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
