The Plymouth School Board will convene on Tuesday, June 3 for both an executive session and a regular meeting. The executive session will begin at 6:00 p.m. and followed by the public meeting at 7:00 p.m.

The only item listed on the executive meeting agenda is “to discuss a job performance evaluation of individual employees”.

During the regular session, the Board is expected to name a new principal for Menominee Elementary School to replace Amy Gerard who has served as an interim principal since the beginning of March.

Resignations listed in the Consent Agenda include, but are not limited to,  Parker Terry (Plymouth High School choir director, summer choral director, director of musical variety show, vocal music director), Jenny Mevis (Washington Discovery Academy 3rd grade teacher), and Geoff Scarberry (Menominee corp. aide). All resignations will be effective as of June 6, 2014.

Four current hall monitor positions are expected to be eliminated. According to Superintendent Daniel Tyree, the oversight of hall monitors will shift from building principals to the Safety and Security Director.

The Board will consider the retirement request of Rick Scott, transportation director. If approved, the retirement would take effect on July 18, 2014.

During the business portion of the meeting, the Board will be discussing the reorganization of the Transportation Department.

Other agenda items include: consideration of textbook fees for grades 5-12; reconfiguration of Washington Discovery Academy and Jefferson Elementary; Blueberry Festival agreement; and SJRMC  school nurse summer contract.
