04/24/14 On Wednesday, April 16th Marshall County Sheriff’s Detective Duane Culp took a report and led the investigation along with the Department of Child Services of an alleged child molesting of a juvenile in Marshall.
The investigation revealed that in the past six weeks the juvenile had been inappropriately touched by 19 year old Joshua Sanders of Plymouth within the Marshall County jurisdiction.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department located and arrested Mr. Sanders on Tuesday, April 22nd on charges of Child Molestation. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held without bond. A formal report will be sent to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
