03/03/14  On Thursday, February 27th Marshall County Sheriff’s Officer Jonathan Bryant conducted a traffic stop at Pioneer Road and Lincoln Highway. Deputy Bryant identified the passenger of the vehicle as 43 year old Janie M. Howard of Plymouth who was known to have an active felony warrant. The warrant stemmed from a case that was investigated by the Indiana State Police in Argos where methamphetamine related items were located.

Howard was taken into custody for Conspiracy to Deal, Manufacture Methamphetamine and was transported to the Marshall County Jail with bond set at $100,005 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
