Potato Creek_signDo you love being outside walking, biking or horseback riding? If so, Potato Creek State Park is looking for volunteers to help maintain their various trails while enjoying the scenic natural beauty of Potato Creek. Volunteers will agree to adopt a section of trail for six months and check it once a month in return for free park admission on the day they are working on their trail. Participants will also be credited for that effort in an Adopt-A-Trail display at the Park’s Nature Center and know that they are helping maintain one of Indiana’s premier State Parks. Examples of things to be done on the trail include trimming back branches, picking up litter and general maintenance such as painting sign posts if needed. Individuals or groups wanting more information or that are interested in adopting a trail should contact the Park at 574-656-8186.
