01/13/14 The Marshall County Commissioners handed out thanks to the county government agencies and departments for the swift action during the recent “snow event” in the area.

The Commissioners praised the Marshall County Sheriff’s office, the Highway Department and the County Emergency Management Agency for their reaction to the weather that kept residents safe and quickly cleared roads for travel.

Sheriff Tom Chamberlin and Highway Superintendent Neal Haeck praised the citizens of Marshall County for heeding warnings to stay off the roads to allow emergency crews to do their job.

Haeck stated that it makes “…a huge difference…” when roads are clear for crews to work.
