Tuesday morning the Indiana State Police Criminal Interdiction Team and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were assisting the Probation Department in completing home visits.  The group went to 13917 State Road 17 near Culver to complete a home visit and in the driveway located a 1997 Pontiac in the driveway with Alex Kitts in the automobile.  Officer observed drug items in the vehicle and Kitts was taken into custody. Officers also located methamphetamines, marijuana, scales and parts of a meth lab in the vehicle.  

When officers and the probation department employee went into the home they found two subjects in the home.  A search warrant was obtained and officers located methamphetamines, marijuana paraphernalia, and meth lab items in and around the residence. 

The owners of the property, John Hopkins and Eddie Spence were arrested.  All three were initially charge with manufacturing methamphetamines, possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, and other drug charges.

The Indiana State Police Clan Lab Team responded to the scene and processed the meth lab items.
