MugShot_Rebecca SalyerJust after noon on Saturday, November 15th Officer John Weir with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to a call of unknown subjects dumping trash in a dumpster near Garro and 3rd Streets. When Officer Weir arrived the concerned citizen said that 28 year old Rebecca L. Salyer of Plymouth and an unknown male had placed a trash bag into the dumpster.

Officer Weir detected a strong ammonia odor coming from the dumpster. When he pulled the bag from the dumpster and opened it smoke exiting the bag. Further investigation revealed the trash bag had a meth lab in it.

A short time later, Salyer was located in the area of Berrenbrook and Jefferson Streets where K-9 Jax indicated the presence of Narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed two baggies of suspected Methamphetamine. Rebecca Salyer was taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail where she is currently being held on a preliminary charge of dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine. Her bond was set at $50,005 cash.

The Indiana State Police Clandestine Team was contacted and arrived at the scene to process and dispose of the lab items in the dumpster.
