03/17/14 To help farmers understand the new farm bill, a regional meeting in northern Indiana will be held March 27.  The meeting will be held at the Fulton County Fairgrounds Community Center, 1009 West 3rd Street in Rochester.

Sponsored by Indiana Farm Bureau, the meetings will provide members and other agricultural stakeholders with updates on the Agricultural Act of 2014, more informally known as the farm bill with special focus on the commodity, livestock, and crop insurance programs.

John Anderson, deputy chief economist at the American Farm Bureau Federation, and Matt Erickson, economist at the American Farm Bureau Federation, will be the guest spesks.

Anyone is welcome to attend, but because space is limited, registration is required. Online registration is available at www.infb.org/farmbillmeetings/. Registration will close at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26.
