Randy and Eleanor Danielson were surrounded by their immediate family and staff members and Mayor Mark Senter for a blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony Sunday afternoon at the Johnson Danielson Funeral Home.
In August of 2013 the Danielsons announced a major renovation project which included a new entryway from parking area, larger foyer and gathering space, new handicap accessible restrooms, a conference room for arrangements and a main floor coffee lounge.
The funeral home was able to stay open and serve the needs of the Marshall County community during their renovation work.
Visitors were able to tour the entire facility Sunday afternoon including the state-of-the-art preparation room.
Staff members gave brief histories of the building and the changes since its relocation from downtown to the North Michigan Street location in1928.
