When students and staff are present and on time each day at Riverside Intermediate School , a star is posted in their room earning the homeroom Star Status for the day. Teachers Credit Union sponsors Star Status at Riverside and at the end of each grading quarter; all the names are gathered for a drawing of those students and staff that had perfect attendance.
Recently Mrs. Beth Styers from TCU came to Riverside to present this quarter’s certificates to: (left to right – Beth Styers TCU), Jessie Cooper, Madysen O’Connor, Austin Driver, Austin King, and 5th grade teacher Jeff Hunter.
Students at Riverside Intermediate School are responsible for completing 2 Achieve 3000 articles each week. They have to complete a thought question and answer questions on the assigned articles. Teachers Credit Union partners with Riverside in this program and at the end of each grading quarter a drawing is held for 2 Kindles. Mrs. Beth Styers was on the campus at Riverside to present Kindle’s to Stephanie Galindo and Presley Baca.
