Rochester Woman in Critical Condition after Crash on Michigan Road Tuesday

Crash_Michigan&13th_3On Tuesday, September 2 at 5:04 p.m. the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call for a 2 vehicle crash with injuries on Michigan Road north of 15th Road.

County Police Officer Matt Brown was the investigating officer. His investigation revealed that 16 year old Cameron Andrews of Plymouth was traveling north on Michigan Road in at 2004 Chevy Silverado. Andrews was north of 15th Road attempting to turning left (west) into a driveway behind another north bound vehicle.

50 year old Judy Pritchett of Rochester was traveling south on Michigan Road in a 1989 Ford Mustang and was struck in the driver’s side by the pickup.

Crash_Michigan&13th_2Ms. Pritchett was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by volunteers of the Argos Fire Department. She was flown from the scene by helicopter to Memorial Hospital due to her injuries and is listed in critical condition.

Witnesses state Pritchett was traveling at a high rate of speed and came over the hillcrest and was not visible when Andrews started to make the turn.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted on scene by Argos EMS, Argos Fire, Argos Police, Plymouth EMS, Indiana State Police and Medflight.
