The Plymouth Rockies wrestling team opened their season successfully on Saturday. The varsity traveled to CMA for their annual Early Bird Tournament .
The Rockies went 5-0 on the day defeating Tippy Valley 48-20, CMA 52-15, Pioneer 77-6, SB Adams 60-19, and Knox 60-24. Undefeated wrestlers for the Rockies on the day included Eric Humphrey, Collin Meister, Jeremy Splix, Chaz Scruggs, and Jacob LaFree.
The Rockies will host their annual Plymouth Classic Wrestling tournament at The Rock on Saturday, 12/6/14. Other teams involved include Goshen, Delphi, Mishawaka, SB Riley, Lowell, Munster, and Peru. The Rockies will open the day at 9AM wrestling an NLC match against Goshen.
The JV Rockie wrestlers competed in an individual tournament at West Noble High School. Rockies that won their weight class included Gavin Banks, Zack Stiller, Nathan LaFree, Noah Puckett, Sam Stayton, Trent Garza, and Tyler Milton.
