02/25/14  On Monday, February 24th at 4:23 A.M. Plymouth Police Officer Gary Cleveland initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Michigan Street and Hoham Drive on a speeding vehicle. During the investigation it was discovered that 21 year old Oscar Romero of Plymouth had never been issued a drivers licensed. Mr. Romero was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Every Receiving a License.  Romero was booked on a $255 bond and was released at 5:40 A.M. after posting bond.   He received a March 18th date to appear in Marshall Superior Court II for his initial hearing.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
