On Saturday, June 7th about 2 a.m. Plymouth Police Officer Pau Stamper observed a black pick-up truck drive on the median on North Michigan Street near the Speedway.  South bound the truck blew a tire and pulled into the Taco Bell parking lot.  The officer conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver, 23 year old Shane Groves of Elkhart to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated.  It was also learned that this was his second violation. 

Groves was found to be in the possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and had a warrant through Elkhart County.  He was placed under arrest and lodged in the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,005 cash bond. 

Saturday morning about 9:30 Plymouth Police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Plum Street for a subject who appeared to be intoxicated and asleep at the wheel in a vehicle.  Officer Jon Weir spoke to the subject and called for EMS to check him out.  43 year old Melvin J. Snyder of Plymouth was found to be under the influence of different narcotics.  He was taken to the hospital for a drug screen and then transported to the jail and held on a $1,505 cash bond. 

 

About 7:40 Saturday evening Officer Shanna Gilmer stopped 67 year old Terry A. Hite at Harrison and Fourth Street for two traffic violation.  He was found to be intoxicated and transported to the county jail and held on a $1,505 cash bond.
