02/05/14 Miller’s Assisted Living Community celebrated Super Bowl Sunday with a “SOUP”er Bowl Soup and Sandwich Buffet for their evening meal. The soup and sandwich buffet was planned and executed by the facility’s activity and dietary department. Residents and staff were invited to wear their game colors and enjoy homemade soups including Loaded Baked Potato, Cream of Broccoli, Chili and Creamy Chicken Noodle. Sandwich choices included ham, turkey, egg salad or ham salad. They also had chips, Chex mix, fruit salad, and assorted desserts. Decorations were of a football theme with football plates and napkins and football serving trays. Following the meal residents and friends were invited to watch the Super Bowl in the Recreation Center while others chose to watch in the privacy of their own apartments.
