01/14/14  On Sunday, January 12th at 1:00 A.M. Plymouth Police Officer Gary Cleveland was patrolling the area of Oakhill Avenue and Lincoln Street when he observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at a speed of 56 mph in a 35 mph posted speed zone. Officer Cleveland initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as 18 year old Jesus Diaz Morales of Plymouth.  Mr. Morales was found to be under the influence of alcohol although he was under the legal limit for Operating While Intoxicated.   He was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Minor Consuming an Alcoholic Beverage and was held on a $255 bond.  Morales was released after posting bond and will appear in Marshall Superior Court II on January 21st.

 Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
