01/10/14  On Sunday, December 15th the Plymouth Police Department received a report of the theft of a purse and contents from the Country Charm Laundromat on North Michigan Street in Plymouth.  Plymouth Police Detective Leo Mangus responded to the laundromat and obtained surveillance video.   An investigation of the incident indicated that 19 year old Jessica Cavinder of Plymouth was responsible for the theft.

Detective Mangus located 19 year old Jessica Cavinder on Wednesday, January 8th.   After questioning, Cavinder was arrested for theft.  She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $3,000 cash bond.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
