A Rochester teen received minor injuries in a single vehicle roll-over crash on State Road 17 Tuesday afternoon.
County Police Officer Jonathan Bryant investigated the accident that happened on 17 just north of 12th Road about 3:30. His report states that 17 year old Shelby Gross was northbound in a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier and at the east curve just past 12th Road the vehicle left the roadway and rolled multiple times before coming to rest approximately 60 feet off the road in a corn field. Officer Bryant’s report states “the next thing she remembers is waking up in a field talking to someone.”
Evidence at the scene showed her speed was too fast for the slick roadway conditions.
