The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and The Center at Donaldson will hold a World Day of Prayer for Peace service on October 8th at 2:00 p.m. at the Catherine Kasper Home chapel. All people are invited regardless of their religious faith to pray for peace.
Pope Francis urges all of us to open our hearts to our neighbors who are affected by lack of access to education, poverty, hunger, conflicts, migration, inequalities, and injustice. We are all members of one human family who seek peace in the world.
In addition, from October 6-8, nine prayer stations will be set up throughout The Center at Donaldson, both inside and out. People will be able to learn about some of the injustices that lead to conflict and to pray for peace at each station. If it rains, the outside stations will be moved to Cana Hall, located on the lower level of the PHJC Motherhouse, the main building on campus. Maps to the stations will be available at the reception desk at Catherine Kasper Home and the Motherhouse.
