01/09/14 The Plymouth Optimist Club will be hosting their annual Tri-Star Basketball Contest on Sunday, January 19th at the Plymouth High School multi-purpose room. Participants should enter through the doors on the north end of the school.
Tri-Star, once known as the dribble, pass and shoot contest in an Optimist International sponsored event. The competition will be scored by age groups, and one in each of the age and gender groups will have the chance to move on to the next level of competition. (That date will be announced the day of the contest)
All boys and girls, ages 8 to 13 on March 15th of this year are invited and encouraged to take part in the event.
Each child participating in the contest will need an adult parent or sponsor to sign a permission slip. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the competition starting at 1 p.m. each child is also to wear appropriate shoes.
The Plymouth Optimist Club encourages children to attend. There will be fun for all.
