01/21/14  Sixth grade teachers at Triton Jr. Sr. High School were recently trained in a new sixth grade Junior Achievement program. Nicole Penar, from Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana and JA Biz Town Program Manager, visited Triton to prepare the teachers for implementing the program in their classes this year.

After the classroom lessons are completed, the Triton sixth graders will have a field trip to Biz Town in Ft. Wayne.  At Biz Town each student will have a community “job” (mayor, police officer, store clerk, banker, etc.) that they do for a day to better understand how a community depends on everyone to function.
