Triton Announces Snow Make-Up Dates

02/13/14 Donna Burroughs, Superintendent of the Triton Community School Corporation has announced their plans to make up their 8 snow days. 

The Triton Schools will use all four of their built-in snow make-up days; February 17^th, April 18^th, May 9^th, and May 23^rd.  Students and teachers will also go to school on the Tuesday and Wednesday after Memorial Day, May 27^th and 28^th. 

As an alternative the early dismissals on Fridays will end.  From Friday, February 28^th and until Friday, May 23^rd students will not leave early.  The 30 minutes on those 12 Friday’s will equal 6 hours the equivalent of another school day. 

Burroughs said Triton will use one of their waiver days for the January 6^th & 7^th school outages.  She also noted that if additional weather cancellations have to be made up, the school board will decide when and how and announce it to the media.
