Triton School Superintendent Donna Burroughs announced Thursday that Triton Elementary School is the first Indiana School to become Common Sense Media Certified.
The certification from Digital Citizenship teaches digital literacy and citizenship to young people using Common Sense Media materials.
The mission and belief statements for Common Sense Media are closely aligned with Triton Elementary’s passion to teach their students the do’s and don’ts of social media and to leave a positive digital footprint.
Common Sense Media is a tremendous website where parents and students can go to find out what movies are safe to watch, what games are safe to play, what books are safe to read, and you can even give independent reviews to keep other kids safe, and other information about all types of media that play such a big role in our kids lives today.
