TritonElementary_OperationChristmasChild2014“Operation Christmas Child” is a holiday program to demonstrate love in a tangible way to needy children around the world.

Triton Elementary School fourth grade students packed over 140 boxes to be sent to underprivileged kids around the world for “Operation Christmas Child.”

The entire school brought in items like coloring books, small toys, tooth brushes, tooth paste, and soap. These items were packed into shoe boxes. Last year those boxes made their way all the way to the South Sudan at a time their country was going through a civil war.

Left over tooth brushes, toothpaste, and soap have been donated to a local food pantry.

Triton Superintendent Dona Burroughs said, “We are so proud of our students and their willingness to think of others over self. Great Job Triton Elementary, this was an outstanding school wide effort!”
