02/06/14 Two more Culver Academies seniors Leah Heckaman, Plymouth, and Tanner Grant, Fort Wayne, are scheduled to sign their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday in the Lay Student Center meeting room.
Heckaman will be attending the University of Cincinnati. She is a track and field throwing specialist (shot put and discus). She has qualified for the state meet the past three years. She finished on the podium with a fifth place finish in the discus. She finished 10th in the shot put.
Grant will be attending Oklahoma City University for rowing. He was a member of the CMA Boys Varsity 4+ team that qualified for the Scholastic National Regatta last May. Grant will join former teammate Jackson Anderson who is a junior on the Stars roster.
A total of 18 student-athletes have now made their college decisions to date.
