01/30/14 The “Watch Level” travel advisory in Marshall County that has been in place since Monday, January 27, 2014 at 4:00pm has been reduced to an “Advisory Level” at the direction of the County Commissioners.

Some of the secondary roads are still slick and hazardous in spots and drivers should use caution, reduce speed, and be mindful of black ice.

The National Weather Service is forecasting up to an inch of additional snow tonight. In addition, south winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph today with gusts between 35 and 40 mph which will lead to blowing and drifting snow in the rural and open areas, especially on east/west roads. Another weather system is expected Saturday but there is still some uncertainty regarding how strong it will be.
