The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for late tonight through late Wednesday afternoon.
Rain will spread into the area tonight and change over to snow late tonight. A period of sleet is possible during the transition from rain to snow. The snow will be heavy at times and is expected to continue through early Wednesday afternoon.
Total snowfall across the area is expected to be in the 5 – 9 in range. Additionally, winds will be out of the north at 20-30 mph with gusts 35-40 mph. which will cause blowing and drifting issues on roads making travel hazardous.
