SummerFoodProgramLogoFriday, June 19th completed week two of the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) program for Plymouth High School and Jefferson Elementary School. So far at PHS 367 meals have been served up for breakfast and 2,293 meals have been served during lunch!

Statistics at Jefferson were only available for the first week, when 250 meals were served for breakfast and 325 were dished up in the five-day period for lunch.

Summer FOod Program2015_4Both schools are two of the USDA Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) sites that offer breakfast and lunch meals free of charge to children who are 18-years-old or younger.

The program ensures that low-income children continue to receive nutritious meals when school is not in session. This summer, USDA plans to serve more than 200 million free meals at approved SFSP sites.

If you would like to stop by for lunch at PHS, children under 18 eat for FREE.

The cost of an adult lunch is $2.50.

Lunch hours are Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Summer Food Program2015_5Plymouth High School is also serving breakfast Monday through Friday as well from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. – children 18 and under eat free and adults can purchase breakfast for $1.50.

Jefferson Elementary is serving breakfast Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. to children 18 and under for free and the adult meal $1.50.  Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.  and the adult meal is $2.50.
