PHSSymphonic Band presented ISSMA 2015Plymouth High School administration and the PHS Band staff were recently notified that the Plymouth High School Band is a recipient of the prestigious “All-Music Award” for the 12th consecutive year.

This award is only presented to high schools that earn the top ratings in every form of ISSMA – Indiana State School Music Association competition.

 

To qualify, the band had to first earn a Gold Award at the ISSMA Regional Marching Band Contest, then a Gold Award at the ISSMA Jazz Contest, and a Gold Award at the ISSMA Concert Band Competition. Additionally, each band must have had students advance to state finals as both a soloist and in an ensemble at the annual solo and ensemble competition.

 

The Plymouth High School Band is one of only a few schools in the state of Indiana to have earned this award annually for this long.
