On Friday, October 2nd deputies with the Starke County Sheriff’s Department responded to a burglary that occurred at Granny’s Market located in Toto. During the investigation officers were able to obtain video of the incident and identified the two male suspects.
Starke County officers arrested 20 year old Aaron Peretti and
19 year old Joshua Wiremen both of North Judson on preliminary charges of Burglary and Theft.
The two suspects also have pending charges for attempted theft of the Smoke Shop.
Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
