theftCounty police have made two arrests in a burglary at a Plymouth business.

Between August 10th and August 18th officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were called to Discount Carpet and Warehouse at US 30 and Redwood Road for multiple reports of their storage units being broken into.

Through evidence obtained at the storage units and witness accounts, suspects were identified.

MugShot_Matthew SingletonOn Wednesday, August 19th, 32 year old Jody Spicer of Grovertown and 26 year old Matthew Singleton of Knox were located at the Red Rock Inn on North Michigan Street in Plymouth where they were questioned regarding the thefts. During the investigation several of the stolen items were recovered inside the hotel room where the two were staying.

MugShot_Jody SpicerBoth Matthew Singleton and Jody Spicer were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail for the crimes of Burglary and Theft.  Their cash bonds were set at $3,005.
