UnitedWay_Dine out graphicThe 2015 Dine Out for United Way event is underway in communities across Marshall County. Twenty four participating restaurants are raising money to support twenty four nonprofit agencies here in Marshall County through United Way. Each participating restaurant has pledged a portion of their sales on designated days. Diners can eat and give back to Marshall County at the same time – it couldn’t be easier.

Coupons for participating restaurants can be found at local banks, WTCA, United Way office in the back of Key Bank building and on the United Way of Marshall County website (www.marshallcountyuw.org). Program organizers, Tom Blackburn and Kathryn DeJarnett from Ponderosa, are asking diners to take these coupons with them to participating restaurants on their respective Dine Out days to show support for United Way of Marshall County (UWMC). “It’s one way for the restaurants to know that you are there due to Dine Out and in support of United Way,” said Blackburn. “Diners are also encouraged to post Dine Out photos on Facebook – with a United Way sign or t-shirt or restaurant staff!” UWMC’s Facebook page is United Way of Marshall County – Indiana.

October Dine Out continues with Mooney’s Ice Cream participating every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The fourth week of Dine Out! will feature Wings Etc. Mon. – Sat., Oct. 26-31, and Pizza Hut in Plymouth on Thursday, Oct. 29.

“Together we CAN, Marshall County” is this year’s United Way theme and every dollar makes a difference. This October and November restaurants are working to provide positive change in Marshall County communities. By working together, we help all Marshall County residents, children and adults, unlock their full potential.
