Kids will be the special guests along with the community at the 2nd annual Marshall County Kids Expo this Saturday, April 11 from 10-1 at the Boys and Girls Club in Plymouth. What will you find at this Expo ?  Answers to the question, what is there to do for kids and families in Marshall County this summer and after school?

There are thirty vendors who will share what there is to do, from team to individual sports, arts, music, 4-H, Boy Scouts, dance, camps, and more at the Expo. Here is a list of the vendors: – Boys & Girls Club, Crossroads Church Camp, Drew’s Gift of Music, Encore Performing Arts, Heartland Artists Gallery, Indiana Troopers Youth Services, LaSalle Council Boy Scouts, LifePlex Dance Academy, Marshall County 4-H, Marshall County Historical Museum, Marshall County Purdue Extension, Marshall County Tourism, Martin’s Super Markets, Operation: Quiet Comfort, Plymouth Bounce House, Plymouth Family Taekwondo, Plymouth Fire Dept., Plymouth High School Athletic Dept., PHS ART Dept., Plymouth Park Dept., Plymouth Public Library, Plymouth Rock Golf Course, Potawatomi Wildlife Park, Purdue Extension-Family Nutrition Program, Quick’s Lanes, Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Small Wonders Summer Camps, Special Olympics, Swan Lake Resort, Usborne Books & More .

There are over forty Raffle Prizes to be won. Just tour the Expo and place your free raffle ticket in the raffle bag you want a chance to win. The community has been wonderfully generous with donations and sponsorship. Each child can pick out a prize after touring the Expo and filling out the Kid’s Prize Card.

What else will be happening? There will be three demonstrations during the Expo – LifePlex Dance Academy will perform at 10:30, Plymouth Family Taekwondo at 11:10 and Drums Alive at 11:45.   Other fun things to do include: face painting with students from the PHS Art Department, Drew’s Gift of Music will bring musical instruments kids can try out, SJRMC will give a talk on bike safety and kids who listen receive a chance to win a new boys or girls bike and helmet. Martin’s Super Market will have their Trail Mix Bar, you can customize your snack. Officer Wiers from the Plymouth Police Department and his canine dog, Jax will be there, and the Plymouth Library will have a dog kids can read to. The Marshall County Historical Museum will bring some historic artifacts the kids can discover and the Plymouth Fire Department will share information on Smoke Detectors.

The Expo will be giving away some CAMPERSHIPS (scholarship opportunities) this year. Kids can tour the vendor booths and find their first choice of what to do, fill out an application for the chance to win – entry fee for a boy and girl to a participating vendor’s event with the Campership Program will paid by the Expo Committee.  There are 12 Campership Packages to choose from:
