On Friday, December 26, the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department obtained a call in reference to two men that had allegedly entered Lowe`s store and stole several items, including power tools and left in a white Ford SUV.  Officers from the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department located the vehicle and subjects in the area of US 31 and the 6th Road overpass.  One of the subjects in the vehicle fled on foot and was not immediately found.

Officers arrested Dedrick M. Cookbey, age 25 along with Lineson F. Powell, Jr. both of South Bend for theft.    The alleged stolen items and power tools were recovered within the vehicle.

On December 29th, the registered owner of the vehicle involved, 22 year old Parnell Powell Benton Harbor was located. During the course of the investigation, Powell was arrested on charges related to fleeing the vehicle.
