Jason NemethSergeant Jason Lee Nemeth, 26, died June 29, 2011. He graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 2003, and from Ball State University with a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2008.
       
He joined the Army in 2006, and was still active with the Indiana Army National Guard when he committed suicide at age 26 on June 29, 2011.  

Jason was deployed to Afghanistan for one 10-month tour of duty assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion, 151st Infantry. For his part in these achievements, he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, the Army Accommodation Valor Device, the Army Achievement Medal and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with one Star.

Nemeth experienced severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, including ongoing nightmares of the face of one enemy he had killed. 

The 4th Annual 5K run/walk will be held this Saturday, May 16th at 10 a.m. in Nemeth’s memory.  

Donations will be accepted in any amount, and all will go toward a scholarship fund in Nemeth’s name at Plymouth High School.
