St Paddy's Day 2015The 4th annual St. Paddy’s DAY Dash a 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, March 14 at Plymouth High School. This year, race coordinator’s are seeking to raise funds to advance access to compassionate care for cancer patients throughout Marshall County. Aimee Portteus, Director of Guidance at PHS and a current breast cancer fighter is the spokesperson, joining together with many others to raise life-saving funds and awareness for cancer patient support systems. “When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I went from being my family’s and students’ caregiver to entering a new world of needing daily help just so I could get better. I am very grateful for all the friends and family who have walked beside me throughout this journey. And, I wouldn’t be as far along in my recovery as I am without the help of many different organizations and support systems in our community. I am excited to be part of the Dash and having the opportunity to give back to several programs that have been important to me and to others in this process. Celebrating survivorship together with this community by reaching out to assist others is one of the most important gifts of my life.” Organizations/Programs that will be assisted by the St. Paddy’s DAY Dash are: • Hello Gorgeous!
