local News_2The Marshall County Commissioner approved a supplemental agreement with USI Consultants Monday as it pertains to the Bridge Inspection Program.

USI’s most recent bridge inspection revealed nine county bridges that are rated a “4” or “poor.”  Because of the low rating the county is now required to have regular inspections completed at a 12 month frequency. The annual phase I inspections for all 9 bridges will cost $9,198 while the phase II inspections for all 9 bridges will be $9,468.

The 9 bridges with the low ratings are over the Jesse McKesson Ditch on North Queen Road, over the Peter Sarber Ditch on North Union Road, over the Dausman Ditch on East 7th Road and over the Armey Ditch on Center Street in Bremen.  The over bridges are all over the Yellow River on King Road, North Hickory Road, West 11th Road, South Upas Road and South Apple Road.
