Friday morning Marshall County Police responded to a two vehicle crash on State Road 331 at Oak Boulevard and 3rd Road at the Donnybrook Subdivision.
A 9 year old boy from Bremen was killed in the crash.
The investigation determined that 34 year old Francisca M. Ramirez of Bremen pulled out attempting to cross State Road 331 onto 3rd Road in a 2006 Mercury Milan. Ramirez pulled into the path of a southbound 1993 Toyota Pick-up driven by 55 year old Julian F Valdez also of Bremen. Valdez struck the passenger side of the Ramirez vehicle.
Francisca Ramires was transported to the Community Hospital of Bremen with minor injuries. The passenger in her vehicle, 9 year old Emiliano Zuniga of Bremen was pronounced dead at the scene by Marshall County Coroner William Cleavenger.
Julian F. Valdez was arrested for operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more, causing a death, and operator never licensed. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a bond set at $1,505 cash.
An unnamed passenger in Valdez’s vehicle was transported to memorial hospital with head injuries.
