Plymouth Fire DepartmentPlymouth Fire Chief Rod Miller presented members of the Board of Public Works and Safety with this department’s June activity report.

There were a total of 194 alarm situations last month.  130 alarms were for EMS incidents while there were also 22 medical assists.

Fire calls included 4 for electrical wiring or equipment problems, 1 hazardous condition, a vehicle fire, 1 outside rubbish fire, a smoke problem and 2 structure fires.

Of the 194 alarm situations, 18 times they were cancelled en route, had 5 false alarms, 2 good intent calls, 1 mischievous false alarm, a system malfunction and 5 unintentional system operations.

Looking at the incidents by district has 121 in Plymouth, 31 in Center Township, 25 in West Township, and 1 in LaPaz.  Paramedic Assists were 1 for Argos, 3 for Culver, 7 for LaPaz and 5 for Walkerton.

Plymouth Fire and EMS had 177 hours of training in June.
