A wintery mix is forecast for our area beginning in the early morning hours of Tue. 3/3/2015. Light snow will develop early Tuesday morning with accumulation expected to be between 1/2 in. up to 1 in. Snow will change to freezing rain during the early morning hours resulting in the potential for ice accumulation of up to .2 (tenths) of an in. of ice, which could make driving conditions very dangerous.
REMEMBER:
Give your self extra time to reach your destination. S-L-O-W down… and increase your following distance. Four wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles do not necessarily improve traction on icy roads.
Temperatures will climb above freezing Tuesday afternoon.
