County Building_2The Marshall County Council will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.  Agenda for the meeting includes the request of Superior Court II Judge Dean Colvin to replace an employee, a presentation of the new E-poll book by Mike Miller and Dave Lattimer from the Plymouth Airport presenting the 2015 CIP program.

Wes Burden from the County Health Department will discuss the Local Health Department Trust Account and Commissioner Kevin Overmyer will discuss the cut made to their budget for the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation. The Council cut $20,000 but the county has a written agreement on the amount.  Overmyer will bring it to the attention of the council and seek an additional appropriation in April to cover the amount needed to fulfill the contract.

Last month Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin presented a resolution that would allow him to have expenditures less than $1,000.  The council recommended he submit a budget.  It’s anticipated he will submit that at the Monday meeting.

Other agenda items include the request of Jerry Huss, the new Weights and Measures head to attend state training, the Auditor’s Report, transfers and additionals.  The Probation Dept. is seeking an additional of $5,000 for urinalysis supplies, while the Highway Department needs an additional of $310,000 for equipment, $150,000 for 7th Road and $5,000 for operating supplies.

The County Council meeting is open to the public with comments and questions required at the beginning of the meeting.
