Quotes were opened for new carpeting in the Chapel at Oak Hill Cemetery. Three quotes were received: $2,828.22 from Sherwin Williams, $2,198.99 from Pratt’s Floor Covering and $2,035.22 from Lowry’s Carpet Service.
Mike Collins from the cemetery was granted permission to award the project to the lowest and most responsive quote after reviewing them.
The Board of Public Works and Safety also passed a resolution allowing the use of a credit card as required by the State Board of Accounts and authorized the recommendation of Fire Chief Rod Miller to extend the application process for the paramedic opening on the department. Miller said, “We just haven’t been satisfied with the applications so far.” The application process will remain open till the end of the year.
