Saturday evening, 53 year old Matt Stults of Argos was traveling east on 18th Road, just east of Kenilworth when he swerved to miss a couple of deer that ran out of a cornfield.
Mr. Stults hit a flooded section of roadway and hydroplaned which caused him to lose control of the 2005 Food Mustang he was driving. The car went off the roadway and into a corn field when it struck a large iron post causing it to roll over at least once.
Matt Stults was unable to call for help and had to crawl out of the car with a broken leg and into the roadway to flag down help.
County Police Officer Matt Brown investigated the crash that sent Matt Stults to Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
