fatal-crashMarshall County police are investigating the death of an Argos man who was hit by a car Monday night on 12B Road west of Ironwood.

The Marshall County 911 Dispatch Center received a call from the driver of a vehicle who said she had just hit a person in the roadway about 11:35 Monday night.

27 year old Herminia R. Rayn of Argos told County Police she was traveling west on 12B Road and did not see the person standing or walking in the roadway until it was too late.

County Officers located the body of 56 year old John Doll in the tall grass just off the north side of the roadway.  He was already deceased when officers located his body.

The investigation of the collision is still pending but controlled substances may have been a factor in why Mr. Doll was in the roadway at the time of the accident.

The Marshall County Police Department was assisted by Bourbon Police, Fire and EMS and the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.
