On Wednesday, December 23rd, at 8:27 PM, a traffic stop was conducted on US 31 near 11th road on a passenger vehicle that was exceeding the speed limit and driving all over the roadway. The driver, 54 year old Vilma Alvarez of South Bend, was found to have marijuana in the vehicle. Further investigations show Vilma to be operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a controlled substance in her system. She was lodged in the Marshall County Jail.
On Thursday December 24, at approximately 10:49 p.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department arrested 19 year old Landon Stephens of South Bend . Stephens was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a person, Operating a vehicle While intoxicated on a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana.
On Saturday December 26, at approximately 2:44 a.m. an officer with the Marshall County Police Department arrested 18 year old Alexandria Shangreaux of Plymouth for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a BAC >.15%, and Illegal Consumption of Alcohol. 19 year old Chase Evans also of Plymouth was arrested for Illegal Consumption of Alcohol. Both arrests stem from a traffic stop On Glen Overmyer Drive near Olive Trail.
Later Saturday morning December 26th, at approximately 10:08, a traffic stop was conducted on a 2011 Chevrolet Impala in the area of US 30 and King Road. The driver, later identified as 46 year old Diane Kittrell, was found to be driving on a suspended learner permit. She was taken to the Marshall County Jail for operating without ever receiving a driver`s license and driving while suspended-prior.
