Heartland Gallery logoArtist, Musician, Bruce Langton at Heartland Gallery in August Bruce Langton, internationally known artist will display his paintings for the first time at Heartland Artist Gallery during the month of August. Curator at the Gallery, Carolynne Babcock shared, “His work is so diverse, from realistic (almost photographic) paintings of nature, to illustrations for children’s books, to abstract musical art and design. This is a collection like we have never shown before.”

Artist, musician and song writer Bruce Langton brings life through paintings what we all fantasize about in our minds. From creating contemporary abstract painting of guitars, writing music, creating illustrations for 22 books and producing over 150 limited edition prints and etchings nationally, Langton is proud to have carved a name in art history. Bruce is considered one of the premier contemporary artists of his time. His unmistakable style and unique ability to capture not only sporting and wildlife scenes, but also contemporary landscapes, has won him numerous national awards.

Heartland_GuitarLangton started painting at an early age and had his mind set on being a professional artist since the 3rd grade. A decision in high school was made after talking with his teachers and counselors to decide if he should go into music or art. His decision was art but music was always in his heart. As his art career blossomed, Langton used his love for music, drawing his inspiration from band members and musicians as well as the beauty of fine musical instruments, to paint what he loves. “To me, music and art go hand to hand. Music is a good outlet for me. I am convinced that music gives me strength to paint and that painting has a soothing effect on me.”

“My life as an artist is very fulfilling. My plan now is to focus on contemporary abstract paintings and continue my love for music. Presently I am busy completing a series of new paintings for upcoming shows.” Langton is a gifted artist with his own style and unique ability to please people. Through his paintings and music he will find a way to touch your heart.

Heartland_flowerThe Gallery will host an Artist Open House for the community to meet Bruce Langton and other Heartland member artists on Friday, August 14th from 5:30-8:00 pm. Bruce will share his passion for art and music in a Gallery Talk at 6:30, followed by a book signing.
