Potawatomi Wildlife Park recently held its annual banquet on March 7th at the Back Forty Banquet Hall. The event was well-attended with over 150 tickets sold.
The evening started with appetizers and music as the crowd was treated to Jeff Unterbrink singing and playing guitar while a silent auction was conducted.
During dinner, the guests were updated on park activities and upcoming projects by Park Director Michael Stephan. After Dinner, Matt Williams, Director, North Central Tillplain Ecoregion- The Nature Conservancy, presented a short presentation on the TNC’s work in the Wabash and Tippecanoe River watersheds.
Following the presentation, Auctioneer Larry Wattenberger from Ball Auction and Reality conducted an entertaining live benefit auction, with participants biding on such items as a guided canoe adventure, entertainment packages, and a custom stone water garden.
The evening closed with dancing for those who wanted to stay. The event was a great success and helped raise important funds for the organization’s mission.
Potawatomi Park, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that operates 317 acre Potawatomi Wildlife Park on State Rd 331 and 10 acre “The Wall” Historic Park on Birch Road on the east side of Marshall County.
